I have this comm link from episode 1 that is based off Qui Gon Jinn's, I was wondering if there is anyway I can incorporate this into my late crusader build?

No...
Episode 1 is a part of the Modern era, you can only use Modern era items with a Modern era kit. There is no era mixing allowed.
