Event location: Gainesville, FL [USA]
Date: February 23, 2019
Clan(s) Involved: Protectors of Lothal
Mission Objective: To demonstrate how the Mandalorian Mercs are “makers” and explain our craft to the general public.
Event Report: Members of Northeast Florida’s Protectors of Lothal clan set up a display at Gainesville’s 2nd annual Mini Maker Faire in order to demonstrate what makes the Mercs “makers.”  Members answered questions and explained to event attendees the processes which Mercs use to create armor, including different materials, tools, and techniques.  There were costumed members present during the entirety of the event to draw people to the booth.

A book of local OMs was featured at the booth so attendees could see the different styles and customization of local Mercs’ armor.  One table was dedicated to armor pieces in the various stages of construction.  There was also a weapons wall to display various weaponry that Mercs carry.  The Mercs booth was a unique addition to the Mini Maker Faire and the event coordinators wish for members to attend similar events in the future.
