Title: Kentucky Noob needs a hand.
Post by: Mirdala Ad'ika on Jun 12, 2019, 01:18 PM
Hey Yall!

I need a paper printable standard template for female armor and I'm having trouble find one. I'm talking basic shoulders, chest/stomach, thighs, knees, shin, toe, gauntlets ect. I don't need a back plate due to my Cape. :jango:

There really is no such thing as a female armor template, unfortunately. Even the male armor templates don't work perfectly for every individual who uses them. What I can tell you is that there are a lot of styles of female armor. I've seen folks use old mannequins and apply the traditional Mandalorian outline for the chest plates. I've seen angular plates, plates with darts, Bo Katan style plates, Sabine style plates, The Clone Wars/Rebels style plates . . . the variety of not just female armor but all armor is pretty endless.

So, I'll ask you this: what kind of look are you hoping to achieve in the end? That would be a better starting point, and we can give you some more directional feedback.

I no longer need an armor pattern. We are making our own.

Nice progress.  The most important thing to remember as you work to mount your armor is if the plates will be spaced evenly over your torso as well as the overall shape (how they contour to your body) of the plates.

I suggest mounting your plates and snapping another picture of you wearing them so the shape and spacing can be evaluated.

Also ensure that the zipper on your arm is removed and sealed as well as ones on the seat of the suit (if there are any).

Otherwise this is heading in the right direction!  Making your own templates is usually the bane of being a female merc.  Nice work so far! Keep it up!  :porg2:
