Title: fencing chest protector question
Post by: sirra_kal on Mar 14, 2020, 06:45 PM
Hi all!  I'm building a legacy kit and found the awesome tutorial on how to use a fencing chest protector for a female chest plate - saves all the time of shaping for a feminine figure!  Anyway, I sanded it and now need to bondo, but I was thinking about keeping the slots for the straps so I could maybe do a strap to attach the chest to the back plate with leather strapping.  Has anyone done that and had issues when it comes to approval?

Here's the chest protector so you can see.  There's two strap areas on the top (which could be covered easily with my collar piece) and one on each side, which I either need to fill with bondo or leave exposed.

Thanks in advance!

The side ones should be fine to use for the strapping, I've seen similar done with sintra. The top would be hidden by the collar however using them would push the collar up so it doesn't sit flush to the chest so I don't recommend using the top ones.
