Post by: Seeker on Aug 03, 2010, 09:47 PM
I've been working on my CO2/Nitrous purge kit for my jetpack and gauntlet flamethrower. Here is my first test run!

Glad to see you got this up and running Seeker!  I'm guessing you used 2 servos, one for the gaunt and one for the pack?

The purge kit for this application runs around $150 for everything (lines, servo, bottle and T-joint) and can be purchased from Dynotune.  http://www.dynotunenitrous.com/store/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=92 (http://www.dynotunenitrous.com/store/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=92)

The bottle weighs 1.25lbs empty and around 4-5lbs full.  That's really the only con in the whole system, but once you get it empty the pack becomes light.  I can get anywhere from 11 to 15 shots out of jetpack before the bottle is empty.

I've got the red LED light in the end of my gauntlet but I have the light hooked up so when I hit the button for the fog it doesn't stay on long enough to show up. I'll have to rewire it into the arming switch.

I bought quite abit more with mine, some extra bottles, another servo, braded line , red led and mount. My setup was 400.00 .....and just to look cool! I got to be crazy! Lol!

Unfortunately, yes.  I'd probably make a detachable flame igniter for fun at home just for messing around with. Definitely not for cons. I think I'm going to have to go donate some plasma and buy a kit!
