Su'cuy! I finally have some progress pics of my Ad'ika's buy'ce progress! This is a completely scratch build, and at this point, it has had primer applied and is ready for the decorative paint. Please take a look, feel free to comment and let me know what you think. I have been working on this for quite a while so a few sets of new eyes are very welcome....
Front of the bucket. My Ad'ika came up with the visor layout...

Back of the bucket. The "damage" or flaws are precursors to battle damage. I like a little textural variance for the damage as well as color difference...

Right side....

The overall color scheme for the finished bucket...(Props to MandoMaker!)

The real question is, does this bucket look to meet membership standards? Thanks for the input!

Can you post the pix with the [img} codes so we dont have to click a bunch of links? You will get more views and feedback as well if people open this and see pix rather than links.

Sorry about that A'den! Long day.....
-
I like it ..... Very Cool . 8)
-
That's pretty cool.
-
Please learn from my mistakes....
Acrylic paint via airbrush to the bucket, not a good idea.... running paint everywhere that for some reason, doesn't want to dry and streaks all over the place... :-[

Painted the blue last night with rattle can and it turned out good. Now to mask, paint the green, remove the masking and install the visor and this WIP will be finished!! I am hoping to post some update pics later this evening....

AAAGGGGGGHHHHHHHHNNNNNNN!!!!!!! http://www.nooooooooooooooo.com (http://www.nooooooooooooooo.com)
Getting ready for the final color application, and the bucket falls off the paint table, completely breaking the left cheek assembly out of the helmet..... cracking the bondo off both cheek assemblies so now I have a bucket half painted, half cheeked, half bondo-ed and I am fully P!$$ED 0FF!!!!!
-
Now thats nice ;)
-
It took a few hours of fast and furious bondo-ing but I was able to recover and finish the paint. Please let me know what your think and if you see anything that would make this build unacceptable for membership....

I have to yet, hit it with black airbrush to give it a bit of worn look and clear coat it. After that, install the visor and this build is done!
-
You did a great job, looks really good.

Done!! Weathering complete, clear coat on, and visor installed. Any and all comments are welcome, as always!!
