If you use sintra on the backside of the cheek it doesnít allow the softer plastic that the J2P is made of to flex anywhere near as much. Popcicle sticks have been used on occasion as well.

Someone has a plastic welder or went through a lot of sitting patience gluing those pieces together! Good job!  Iíd say the heat thing mentioned above is a good call and adding forehead padding also forces the helmet away from your nose.

Thatís a good start, Iíd say you could raise the faceplate up higher even to the middle of that logo and still be good on the dome. Iíd split the difference myself that way you donít have to trim off nearly as much as Iíd say the mandibles are likely about 1-2 inches longer than suitable; however Demagol in the Crusader era had quite a long set of mandibles on his helmet.

That paint mock up is gorgeous! Canít wait to see it!

Just one ticket for me please.

It doesn't really matter as long as they're not the small "toy" screws. Most people will use the Hex headed screws because they look the most Swarzy, but it's up to you.
Right, that sounds like it makes sense. Guess I'll hobble over to the nearest DIY store ASAP for some fancy screws ;) Thanks for the reply!

If you look at Rey's staff,  Phillips-head screws are canon...
Heh. I hadn't noticed, but I'll take your word for it ;)

What did you use for the larger copper wheel on the side of that axe? That piece looks great for something I'm making

Looks like a hard drive motor armature.
