You're on the right track, can't wait to see it! Do you have a design made for your armor?

Jango armor templates, with a weathered orange and grey color scheme.  Very basic with some detail tweaks here and there. As far as who he is and what he does, i have a bunch of ideas but nothing set in stone yet.  Pics will come very soon.

Yes that masking fluid, i cant remember the name. I find it to be to thin so i may make my own. I havent gotten to do the dirtying stuff yet. Probably some real thin paint, chalk dust and cig ashes.

Paint is definitely the way I would go. Chalk would run the risk of dirtying people you see and take pictures with. And the same for ashes, you might trigger someone's allergies. We were at a children's hospital recently and cig ash is the Last thing they needed.

Ah, you didn't mention clearcoat. And i thought you were also talking about weathering the soft parts. I didn't think about clear coat because i didn't use it on my kit. But smoke is a hard smell to cover up, best to avoid all together.

Depends if you want the authentic burnt smell... My cape still smells of burning fabric but I kind of like it. Adds to the realism :P
