My First Mando Kit - concept designs

After meeting some of you at Long Beach Comic Con and Nerd Bot Con, my husband, MysteriousStranger, has dragged me down this wonderful crazy rabbit hole and I have started designing my kit.

We have her helmet ordered and will probably end up at Joann's this weekend to get her duck cloth. But we wanted to run her design by people first before starting on the actual build. We want to make sure all the design elements on the helmet and armor are approvable.

Looks like a great concept!  I think she'll be fine on the design.  It's always great when our significant others join us on this crazy ride.  Makes the experience that much more enjoyable.  :D

Thanks! I am excited to get started on this!

For my flack vest, I already have a bodice pattern with princess seams that I have used several times for my dance dresses. I think it will work if I add in a little more ease. I'd prefer something more fitted than boxy. I could draft up a pattern with darts, but I already have this one handy.

Thanks everyone! I've gotten a good start on my softs and we are trying to get the sizing right for my armor (links in my signature). I will be working on my sash belt, loin cloth and kama this weekend. Here is a quick sketch of my idea.
