So, here is my latest scratch build. Now I just have to learn how to sew so I can finish my kit.

And now, start to (almost) finish...
Didn't get a picture of the silver layer...

It's looking really good so far, I love the angled cheeks and the paint job. Did you remove the original padding from inside the helmet?

Thanks! Yes I completely gutted the helmet and fiberglassed the inside to add strength.

No template. Just kinda freestyled it. This is my third bucket so I already had a good idea of what I needed to do.

Nice job Mongoose1976,

What type of glue did you used to bond the layer on the bike helmet?  And also did you use bondo to finish off the edges?

Your paint scheme is realy nice, great job.

Thanks!
I used Insta-Cure for most of it. Insta-cure gap filling 2oz Bob Smith Ind. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0000DD1QQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_Co3TzbMAZ2HZ5  Nothing fancy just had to use a lot of it. And yes I used Bondo to straighten up and smooth out the edges. Also used some epoxy on the cheeks since Sentra doesn't like to bond to bucket plastic.
However the main thing that holds it all together is the fiberglass I put on the inside. That really added the durability it needed.
