Starting my first build here, constructive criticism welcome and encouraged.
Decided to do the soft parts first because i have more experience in leather/canvas working than I do with PVC. Working of my initial design sketch of this:
Wanted to do something reminiscent of last generation milsurp hence the olive/tan/black and reliance on leather. Today's progress included making a kama, leather girth belt base, and flak vest.
The waist and dangly bits:
The brown loincloth is just a mockup for now (it is also incorrectly placed haha). real version is a green canvas.
Flak vest:
Made a flak vest out of an old arming jacket I made when I was about 13. Luckily I still fit it.
cut it flat
Cut it shorter, bound the seams, made the front the back and vice versa, sewed up the back and added velcro on the side.
here it is with the belts and kama - belt is tied together for now
