Su cuy'gar vod,
So this is the side arm i've been working on, off and on for several months. Since I'm just starting out I figured that nerf would be the easier way at this time. Still have a ways to go with filling, sanding, and the like but it's shaping up to be a damn nice blaster

Update with some small modifications done


Removed some more of the nerf looking parts and filled in the screw holes, so its little progress but progress none the less I'm unsure if I should add more grebblies I know I need to de-nerf but I dont want to look gaudy

Highly recommend breaking up the shapes circled in red-- on the trigger, filling in those holes would help.

Well small update I managed to trim and remove more nerfy bits on the handle and the back of the barrel though some parts of the handle and finger guards cant be sanded or shaped to much without loosing whole part due to those section being hollow the trigger still needs filled as does the front hole where the stock goes that will be my next task but so far so good I think on to pictures

So here is an update some more sanding, filling, and priming happened yesterday so far I feeling pretty satisfied with it and myself

Pistol grip still screams nerf to me... maybe some kinda wrap around the recessed part of the grip  could disguise it's shape further?

I was toying with that idea I tried using old jean material to see how it would look so I'm thinking some faux leather or even some duck cloth to see how it would turn out.

Here is what I managed to come up with for the wrapping on the grip. It will take some more finagling but its a rough idea of how I see it

Thanks vod I've been working hard to get my blaster de-nerfed and right the first go and while it is time consuming, its not so much hard but requires a good but of thought, planning and vision, but it is fun

Well it has taken some time but I do believe this blaster is done with a break in the wet humid weather I've managed to get the sealer coat applied and the leather wrapping finished up all in all I fell like I did not to bad for my first time
