Antenna Help!
« on: Jul 27, 2018, 01:07 AM »
I'm going for unique yet seemingly functional antennas.. I don't like rangefinders or Viszla style antennas, but want something to match my build. Here are some concepts I came up with and would like some feedback from you!

Here is a link to my WIP to show what I have right now: https://mandalorianmercs.org/forum/index.php?topic=155486.0

Feel free to comment here or there, it's all the same to me and I really appreciate your assistance!

Thanks!

fixed the photo link.

But going to hold my feedback for the Q&A you just posted.  Fixed the photo links there as well.

I like the way you think! I'm doing something similar for my daughter's helmet. I like options 3 and 4.

This is what I came up with, one large antenna on one side and the smaller antenna on the other. Having 2 of those on both sides make me look like an ax-head, which would be perfect for like a medieval build, but not for this.

I think this is the best of the options you've presented thus far, and seems to be the most workable concept.

Sorry for not being active recently, I was dealing with my wedding, honeymoon, house stuff, vehicle stuff, job stuff, etc. But now I am back in full force to get this build done and approved, soon!

Coming back to my antenna issues and the direction I am going now:

And together it looks like this:

Looking much better Vod.  I'd say keep going forward with this concept.

Thanks Sep! I definitely like it better than my original concept. It just fits the build better.

Here is my first official test fit as of Sunday evening:

Cheers!

Good to see the whole kit in one place :)

From a practicality standpoint for trooping, you might want to shorten the loincloth a bit.

The bootplates could use a bit more shaping to get rid of the air gaps between the plates and the gaiters.

Right now the items on the back of your belts are pushing the cape out and away from your body in such a way that it appears you don't have a backplate, and the requirement for capes is that they create the illusion that you do.  You may need to adjust those items, or adjust how the cape drapes/the overall length of the cape to achieve that illusion

There are visible logos on your gloves that need to be covered or removed.

Could we get another photo of your weapons loadout?

You're getting close!   Be sure when you do your final app photos that you take the balaclava all the way off for the bucket off photo.

I like your arsenal but fair warning, that Nerf Rebelle crossbow probably won't fly in its current state.
