Question - Trauma plates damage
« on: Jul 15, 2019, 03:24 PM »
I have a question about:

I'm planning on having part of my trauma plates damaged, exposing some inside material. Is it plausibile to find any kind of wires, random greeblies or should it be just some kind of plain material?

Wires might work if there are electronics (real or simulated) near where the damage is.  As far as having greeblies sandwiched between base armor and a trauma plate (and exposed by damage), I'm not sure what the purpose of having greeblies in such a place would be.  Greeblies are a great thing, but they ideally need to have some sort of logic to them.

Agreed.  When I do physical weathering to my trauma plates, the trauma plates are glued to the base plate and I dremel down in. I typically go with 3mm trauma plates ontop of 6mm base, so having 9 mm of material gives you a lot of room to make some deep impact craters, etc.   But finding greeblies inside implies the trauma plates are hollow, which would make them -- not trauma plates, but more like panel covers.  So it kind of depends on what you're wanting to say with the piece.
