Standards for SWs Rebels Mandalorians?
« on: Nov 08, 2019, 01:58 AM »
Hey guys I'm new (also on mobile, took like an hour to find out how to post). I was recommend here by the BHG guys from the 501st. I'm interested in doing a rebels clan Vizsla Mandalorian preferably with the movie/realistic armor design which seems a lot easier to find then the animated ones.

Was wondering if there was requirement for that?
1: Is rebels clan vizsla allowed?
2: Am i allowed to use the boba/jango design instead of the animated armor?
3: Am i allowed to mix the male and female paintjobs?

The 501st and rebel legion seem a lot stricter but i just want to make sure before i start building.

(BF2 MOD) realistic male warrior

Any advice would be great

So my armor isnít approved yet... but I think that would fall under custom mandalorian maybe? I do believe mando mercs got almost the same CRL or brigades standards as 501st and RL for the existing characters

So to clarify a couple things, and keeping in mind I'm not on the App Team, just an old hand: Rebels Clan Vizsla should be fine as a Canon kit. As it stands now, there aren't CRLs for it yet, so your best bet is to work closely with the App Team and your Ruus'alore during your build.

If you're doing a Canon kit, then you must follow the source material as presented. In this case, if you want to do a Clan Vizsla build from Rebels, it needs to match what we see on-screen, including the plate styling. For a Custom kit, then you have freedom to choose whatever style of plates you'd like so long as you have consistent spacing, subject to the quality clause. This includes males wearing female plates and vice versa. I believe the torso plates(collar, chest, diamond, ab) need to all be of the same style, but I may be wrong on that one. An App Team member or a Ruus'alor will be able to provide better clarification on that.

For the mod you linked, while you can use it as inspiration, it won't qualify as a Canon reference because it's a fan-made mod and not an official source. You can use it for inspiration for Custom, but you'll want to be careful not to stray into failed canon territory. Your Ruus'alore and the App Team can definitely give you more guidance on this, but my suggestion would be to take the colours and alter the patterning to make it more unique to you, unless you are intending for a Canon kit.

Hope this helps, and I look forward to seeing where your kit goes from here.

(First off sorry if this is the wrong way to reply new to navigating the site)

If i were to do a custom build that takes inspiration from canon sources that would be cool, As long as a follow the normal kit requirements?

What i originally wanted to do was use the animated male body color and the color scheme of the female helmet and use it on the movie style jango armor maybe throw in a red half cape/ poncho to.

Animated male Armor color

Animated female helmet colors
https://star-wars-canon.fandom.com/wiki/Unidentified_Clan_Vizsla_captain
OR
https://star-wars-canon.fandom.com/wiki/Mandalorian_Vizsla_warrior

The base being the normal jango or the true Mandalorian designs from the legends jango comics.
