Rose gold mando concept
« on: Mar 24, 2020, 12:11 AM »
Hello. I'm a newbie to the forum and have been researching what to do for my mando. I've decided to use 3d printing for most of my armor pieces. I would like a rose gold and maroon color concept. For the helmet, I would like a clan wren style/pattern. Would these be approvable?

Can't imagine their would be an issue. I'm working with that style helmet myself.

Great I'll get started. Someone in my clan forum said PLA material is also acceptable. Is this true?

Per the CRLs, found here: http://mandalorianmercs.org/get-involved/costume-requirements/
Quote
Acceptable Armor Material:
  • Sintra
  • Kydex
  • PVC
  • ABS
  • Styrene
  • Fiberglass
  • Metal
  • Fiberglassed/resined paper board
  • Worbla is only allowed for adding additional details to armor plates as it is not strong enough on its own.
  • Any visible EVA foam is not allowed. EVA foam is only allowed as backing for other materials as long as it is not visible.

Yes, 3d printed armor is acceptable, as is the Clan Wren pattern for custom Mandos:

"Rebels-style female and male armor is approved for custom applicants. Costumes using these armor styles must adhere to the custom CRLs in all respects."
