Small-scale molds?
« on: Mar 25, 2020, 03:56 PM »
Hey all!

I've been working on making some mini darts for one of my gauntlets and have an awesome part that I want to mold and recast, but I don't really want to buy $80 worth of silicone and resin off Amazon just for a few little pieces. What do you guys usually do for very small-scale molds and castings?

For a one off, I would think 3-d printing would be a good option.  Assuming, of course, you can get the part modeled.

Hobby lobby sells jars of a rubberized covering that is supputo be for making small molds. Forget the name but has a strong ammonia smell when opened.
