Am I allowed to do this to knife blades???

Every picture I've seen of Din's knife shows it covered in mud- so I have no idea what the actual metal looks like. So, is this an acceptable finish for a vibro-blade knife, or would it be a violation of CRLs?

Yup. Amazon box + plastic trash bag + water + black spray paint on the surface of water + chopstick to stir up the paint on the surface of the water.

I know this is the technique used to create Empire Steel ingots...and I may well make some of those in due time.

I like it.  Looks like acid etched Damascus ( I'm a huge forged in fire fan)
