Su'cuy Vode!
This is my first kit and I'm fleshing out the concept still. When I saw Paz Vizla I liked about half of his armor, so I'm making a custom HIM with the pieces I liked.
Here is what I've got so far:
I already have a no-damage cold cast aluminum bucket to work on, this picture is just for painting reference. I want to leave the visor area unpainted and polish it up to show off the beskar. I'm also still deciding on the visor color, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to go for mirrored.
My favorite color is actually gunmetal gray, so I'm going for that as an overall, with a dark red/maroon on the edges and some highlights. My flak vest is still shipping, and is black, and I'm undecided about my flight suit, though it might end up being coyote brown or olive drab.
I feel like the gauntlets are what really distinguish the wearer, and none of the existing really called to me except Paz's left one. I didn't want to just have a PAZ copy though, so I modified the flamethrower to a missile launcher, and because of the way the file is built, it is detachable. I also modified the body of the gauntlet to add missiles, darts, a blaster, space for an electronic screen, and some extra greebiles. I also added a small flamethrower to the right hand and a grapple to the left (hard to see). I'm a "plan for everything" guy when I pack to go somewhere, and I think these gauntlets express that.
Recognizing that this is an ambitious plan, I'm going to pace myself and work on one piece at a time - focusing on the minimum for OM first:
Before all that though, I gotta start on my bucket!
Please give me guidance! I only look like I know what I'm doing!
//UPDATE//
Just started working on my bucket, so I'm just tweaking the armor 3D concept. I found a proportionate body to help model, but I have yet to take measurements and make it accurate to my body.
I didn't like the original pauldrons because I didn't think they fit with the other pieces, so I swapped them out for Din Djarin's Beskar shoulders minus the clan crest. They look really good with the bicep armor, much better to my eyes.
The toe plates and the butt plate will probably get switched out as well, I just need to find the right shape that looks cohesive with the rest of the armor.
