Post-Imperial helmet concept and ideas

Hi everyone, hope all is well.

I am very interested in making a set of armour, and I have currently done a quick mock of up what I would like my helmet to be like.
On my helmet-to-be, it has cheek pads which would be moved backwards to fit smoothly alongside the earpiece to reveal the cheek indentations with small vents in them as shown. Would these cheek plates be approvable if I was to apply? They wouldn't move super fast or stick out a lot, to prevent the risk of catching on myself or others.

Also, I tried to make a sort of "rangefinder" where I would implement a small screen and a camera hidden somewhere either in the helmet or on a head-mounted multi-torch(Not included on images, probably located near the scratch). This would move up and down as well hinged on the side earpiece, to conform to the visor rule which I believe is being reinforced a bit more, so I've been told.

I was thinking of overall trying to get an either "scrapper" or "apocalyptic military plated" style of armor, but I'd like to complete the helmet first and then gradually progress on.

Also, are legs in a style such as the javelin suits from anthem(shown below) acceptable, if deemed safe? of course, not massive ones, just curious.
