I am starting to build my jet pack, but was wondering if any members have done what I revfer to as Jango's short pack it is the one that does not have the rocket in the center. I was considering using a 1 1/2 inch diameter pvc pipe for side rockets and a 3 inch diameter pvc pipe for the main tank. I am 5 foot 9 inches tall and weigh about 300 lbs and was wondering if that proportion would be correct. I have had a hard time building my armor because of how I am built and while I am stalled on armor (waiting on someone to become available to help create vest) I have started my pack. Hope to have a prototype of side engines down loaded by tomorrow night.

Sounds about right to me, but keep in mind Brian that you don't have to follow the measurements exactly. Mandos are known for customizing their kits, and I can easily see one having a jet pack specially made.

For the vest, if you don't mind me giving a suggestion; my vest is basically just a front panel and back panel sewn together at the shoulders, with adjustable velcro straps on each side. I made the pattern by taking an old t-shirt and cutting out the flanks.

Yea ihave a pattern but suck at sewing the hold up is I am waiting on the person who is going to stitch it together to become avalable.

I'd probably size down the 'jet' part on the bottom, but that's just personal preference. As it stands, looks pretty cool .

Here is an up date have the two engines and tank mocked up and have started painting. Hope to start on frme and outer shell next week. Sorry they are blurry camera is old and seems to not be functioning properly.
