if you put the neck piece on, we could see how those chest pieces fit a bit better, they seem a little low, the neck piece will bring them together better, the shoulder paldren looks cool , it might need to open wider (front to back) as this sits on top of the neck and back plates.

otherwise, that armor looks great so far! vest is cool as well as the kama!

 I think it's more the design of the plates, then any of the armor actually sitting low. The neck area does concern me though. It looks like there is going to be a noticable gap between the the chest plates and the neck plate. I'd say you might need to add a bit to the top of the chest armor to get a nice flow. Everything else looks good though, keep the progress coming.

Not to worry. I have a new pauldron design that hangs lower in the front and looks way cooler. I just have to get the materials and i can get to work on it. That other one is just something I made cause I was bored last week.

It could work if you design the paldron to have a shape on the bottom that fits the shape of the chest pieces this way it has a good flow., then you can omit the collar like you want.

I think its a good idea and i am surprised no one else tried this before.


note.... you might have to mod the back of the paldron or the top od the back plate also.

It has been tried before, and succeeded, and done by people local to Solus (Hence why it's being done that way, easy access to experience)

And since it's a pauldron, it doesn't need to fit to the shape of the plates, because it should overlap the plates.  I've built this chest plate design 2.5 times (half a time because I was only advising Solus) and the first time (on Shan) the ARC Trooper/Marine pauldron precluded the need for a collar plate at all because it covered the whole area, and the second time, I added an extra spacer plate between collar and chest, following the curves.  We talked about that when fitting the vest.

The plates do sit lower than on the average male.  It's a necessary concession to having boobs.

I'm going to make my new pauldron to look like this one. The only difference is that its going to be light gray where the blue parts are to match the light gray trim on the kama.

This is looking pretty awesome so far. I look forward to checking out your progress. That pauldron looks beastly and can't wait to see that finished.

One of the most productive days ever! The pauldron is 90% done! I just need to go out and get rivets to attach the shoulder pieces to the neck surround and it's done!

The plates have just been painted and are drying (minus the boob plates, there bondo is drying). Pictures for all them will be posted by the end of the day when they are dry, clear coated and re-attached to the vest.

All that remains is re-sizing the back plate and ordering my helmet. And maybe altering my boots buts that's not decided yet.

The whole thing is made of craft foam. Then I used spary adhesive to attach the raised pieces.
