My Jetpack project finished! (Updated)
« on: Jul 18, 2010, 07:14 PM »
I found this in trading station, and once it arrived. It went on a weeklong roadtrip with me.LOL. With a lot of sanding, priming, masking & painting; I'm about finished.

I'm gonna take the Missle fins off and replace them. I'm thinking about making new fins from wooden tongue depressers and glueing them in. I believe it will work.

Harness: I got to pickup a Black equipment H-harness from my loal surplus store. Once the harness is mounted, I'm gonna diagonally cross one of the straps over my vest, and use it as a bandolier. I think it will work.

But heres the before and after pics of the paint job.

Are you going to add any lights or electronics?

Yeah, it already had wiring and a blue flashing bulb installed. I just had too secure it too the pack body.

Well, here it is. I replaced the brittle plastic fins with wooden tongue depressors, the green color was too bright, so I repainted everything. The H-harness didnt work out as i had envisioned, so I used some straps I found in Walmart. I'm happy with it. And now its time too move on too my next part of the costume.

Please let me know what u think. All feedback, Good or bad is welcome. Thanks
