I've been looking around for one, but in my area, we don't have big toy shops, so as a result the smaller shops don't stock Star Wars stuff unfortunately

PVC pipe works good . But you need PVC glue most times .

Plumming pipe (Metal) usually in the Toilet section of Hardware type stores.


If you want to Go cheap so you can save some Ca$h for other things .
Just ask if they have Scraps or " Cutoffs"..... you can sometimes get them for Free or really cheap.
This is what I do ....  Why pay Retail if you don't have to .

Again, that would depend. What type of weapon are you interested in? If you want a rifle, then go long, short if for a pistol. Until you narrow down what type of weapon you WANT, you will continue to get vague responses.

That's a really good call actually, about making it able to disassemble.

I'm still not 100% on my Mando type
But I'll make 2 separate barrels, one medium, and one long
And I'll make them both detatchable so I can chop and change while I'm deciding.

I'll think seriously about my Mando type

I've decided on my Mando name, Kad Rebo.
One of the less subtle mercenaries, with a medium-short range blaster with a detachable Bayonet-style blade.
Is a bit on the heavy side, so a jet-pack isn't high on my priorities list.
Instead, I prefer "acquiring" speedy craft.

Opinions?
Also I've figured out the barrel, so once I turn a plug to join the two pieces, I'll post pictures here

Well as I said I now know where I'm going with the barrel, so there should be more pics uploaded soonish!

It's been a while but I've gotten further on my blaster
The barrel at the moment is a toner cartridge from a colour printer
And the blades (at the moment) are the backs of school jotters
The blades will be made of acrylic/plasticard (whichever I can lay my hands on) and attached with mounting screws
The barrel will be modified and painted along with the rest of the gun
I haven't gotten round to taking the words off the blaster, but I'll get to it asap.

Hehe in all honesty, I'm getting the bits I know how to do out the way first, so I have loads of time to get the armour sorted as I've never done it before
