Found the RF topper.  Gonna fill in the dent to match the original Supertrooper helmet.  Find a glossier paint.  I'll post more pics in the next couple of days as I get that done.

Thanks for the encouragement guys.

My stand in cape until I find the real one.  The size is pretty close on this one and its got the frayed edges.  Guessing most people won't see the inside anyway.  BTW, anyone got the correct vintage beach towel they wanna sell me?
