So, I've been working on my armour for a while now, but I've been hesitant to start a W.I.P on the forums, as I have a history of doing that and then just... Stopping. Yeah.
Anyway, I eventually caved in and here's the W.I.P for my armour!

Hopefully I update here regularly, particularly since I intend to have all the armour done by the end of the month!
Soft parts are an entirely different issue...
Anywho, here goes!
I've been working mostly on the top half of my plates, as they are (to me) the more important ones. Here's a test fit I did a week ago. Keep in mind they are a little wonky and they've been shaped much better since then:

I've done a lot of work since then (they're practically done) but I'd still appreciate some input on spacing
Whilst shaping the chest pieces I managed to over-sand the right pectoral and the diamond...

Woopsie...
The pectoral I fixed up with another piece of PVC, with bondo for glue:

(The diamond is still yet to be saved)
I then got the rest of the chest painted up and detailed:

My first thought was 'Gah those colours hurt!'
But then I gave them a drybrush of silver and an intense blackwashing:

And this is as they currently stand! I am, personally, quite proud of these!
I'm thinking of damaging the left side up a bit more, so it flows better with my shoulders (which some of you may remember from a few weeks ago):

Upon review I clearly need to blackwash the right shoulder again! It looks FAR too clean for my tastes! Some of the 'scratches' would look better with additional weathering, but at the moment that's a secondary issue.
I've also been working on some scratchbuit gauntlets, but they have deigned to be.... less than compliant <_<
Here's an image of a segmented backplate I've been working on (based off of a friends design):

It needs a lot of work (and that vest is my own weep-inducing creation), and I'm not sure how it will stand with the CRLs. I also intend to have a cape (and a kama!).
The helmet is a pepakura creation I've been slowly working on, in between my other pieces. Here's how it stood when I first put it together:

It's come a LONG way since then, but it's still far from completion. Also, I think it may be a tad big... but I shall complete it anyway, and see how it looks along with the rest of my armour. I may end up ordering an officially sanctioned model.
Next up, however, I shall be completing the knees I've been thus far ignoring:

(with obligatory cat-photo!)
All of these pieces are scratch built by myself using 3mm PVC piping, based off of official templates, and various canon and member armours. I'm aiming for a more 'flowing' design with mine, with much more curvature than in the standard Mando suit, simply as an aesthetic choice on my part!
tl;dr: Look at the pretty pictures, and please tell me what you think!
