Finally started my "soft" parts.
Here is the vest cutout and chest pcs laiyout.



Here was the paper pattern layout test fit.
FYI.. The armor pieces are a little to big - had to cut down.

Girth Belt finalizing..
Just have some touch ups to make completed, ex. painting the brass grommets to look like weathered steel and maybe stitching or rivets at the leather-rope transition.

My wood dowel - hand carved "teeth" toggles.

Ok... I have been stalling on this part.  SEWING

Here is the beginning stages for the vest.


The process in stages:
NOTE: Please keep in mind... I have little to no experience in sewing, so if I am doing something incorrect (be gentle).

Here is the cord and sizes the materials stripes.


I made the decision to use spray adhesive to keep the cord in place while sewing.


Finished result.


Sewn the cord around the shoulder material.


Finished result.  (Probably should have ironed out the material before in started)

I had been considering using teeth or claws as closures like that. Nice to see how they look in real life.

Turning wood dowel pins into teeth or claws.
Tools needed // Knife and Sandpaper
Note: knife blades are sharp - be more careful than me.
