Celebration 8 for any Yanks?
« on: Sep 08, 2015, 10:04 PM »

I'm a bit of a long term planner.  Honestly, my plans work out about as weel as Fred's from the classic Scooby Doo, and are usually about as complicated.  However, Celebration 8 is less than a year out, and naturally, I'd like to plan a little, at least to get a baseline.

So my question is this: how many fellow Yanks are planning to make the trip accross the pond for Celebration 8 in London, England?  For those planning on going, how many are planning on staying on for an extened holiday?  I do, since it would cost a pretty penny to get there, and England/ the UK has been on my bucket list since, well, forever.

Just putting out feelers.  Not entirely sure if we would be able to book flights as a group, but I fel that would be pretty cool.  Also, it would probably be good to figure out how we're going to get all our bes'be there and back.  Lodging would also be a bit of a concern.

Also, I'm very project minded as well.  I'm sure the Brits would love to have a rather large set like the one at C7 (which I was regrettably unable to attend).  Maybe there's is something we can do to assist them, though hauling our gear over might be a tad difficult as is.

So, pip pip, cheerio, eh what!  Or something to that effect. . .

Y'all don't have brown sugar and cinnamon pop tarts?!?  That's a little depressing!  Right now, it's looking like I won't be able to make it, but if I do, I'll pack a suitcase full of them.

Just to let you know there is a planning thread for Celebration in the Europe board, as well as threads for the joint Mercs/ RL/ 501st / Jedi News bash on the Saturday night and the Mercs meal on the Sunday night.  So do please have a look and post if you're planning to come over! http://mandalorianmercs.org/forum/index.php?board=41.0

Guys, if you're planning to attend Celebration London can you please go to this thread and say what days you're attending? http://mandalorianmercs.org/forum/index.php?topic=109061.0
Thanks!
