Boba Fett (Nomad) – Tatooine Soft Kit
All armor and soft parts must be weathered where indicated in visual references to give the illusion of battle wear and damage.
Head
- Must have skull cap and have scars to match references.
- There five main scars; one smaller scar running from the right top of the head to the corner of the left eyebrow, one small scar that runs from the start of the small scar on the right top of the head down the right side of the face curving around the right eye and ending on the top of the right cheek, one that runs from the center top of the forehead over the outer corner of the left eyebrow and eye, one long scar runs from the back of the head above the left ear and down to the bottom left side of the chin, the longest scar runs from behind his right ear then up in a jagged line and around the back of the head to the left ear.
- There are 2-3 smaller scars across the back of the head.
Robe
- Robe is black slubbed linen (linen with yarn thickened at random intervals to forms knots or knobbles), washed double layer gauze, or textured cotton double cloth with weave and is heavily textured to match visual references.
- The robe is floor length with double sleeves and a large hood that fits easily over the head. One sleeve is a fitted long sleeve that covers the wrist edge of the hand plate and the other sleeve is a large bell sleeves that end at the wrist. The robe ties in the front at the neck with ties made of the same fabric as the robe.
Under Suit
- Under suit is made of black cotton and/or linen blend fabric.
- Neck of the under suit is a rolled cowl neck that hangs lower in front.
- The under suit is loosely fitted to the wearer.
Pants & Waist Sash
- Loosely fit, Hakama style pants made with the appearance of black raw silk that is low or no sheen.
- Closure is hidden by the waist sash.
- Waist sash also must have the appearance of black raw silk that is low or no sheen.
- Sash features two hanging pieces off the right hip that fall to about shin level on the right leg.
- The ends of the sash must be tattered in appearance.
Boots
- Black boots that are leather or leather like material.
- Black leather or leather-like boot spat that is approximately knee height that covers the top of the foot around the sides to the back and straps underneath the center of the bottom of the boot.
- Toes of boots have lined toe covers above the visible tread of the front of the boot.
- Heel of boots have lined covers above the visible tread of the rear of the boot.
Girth Belt
- Rope girth belt twisted with light brown, dark brown and black ropes with 10-12 ropes.
Bandolier
- Dark brown leather or leather like bandolier with approximately 1 1/2 to 2 inch strap running from right shoulder to center of waist, underneath the dark brown leather strap is a black strap that is wider than the dark brown strap by approximately ½ inch.
- Bandolier is worn under the cape.
- The weathering on the bandolier is a dark color and must match visual references.
Ammo Belt
- The ammo belt is dark brown in color and made of leather or leather-like material weathered consistent with the reference images.
- 18 ammunition cartridges are present at approximately 1 inch intervals across the entire front of the belt.
- The cartridges are held in place with loops made of the same material and color as the ammo belt.
- The 18 ammunition cartridges themselves are brass in appearance with ¼ inch caps on the tops and a ½ inch rounded cylinder section at the bottom.
Thigh Holster
- The holster is made of leather or leather like material and is dark brown in color.
- The holster must hang from the right side of the ammunition belt via a strap, made of the same material as the holster.
- Four weathered brass studs are present on the connecting strap from the belt to the holster in a four square pattern.
- Stitching is present along the back edge of the holser.
- There is a strap attached to the front and back of the holster to hold the sidearm in place with a matching brown circular end and next to that a silver metal stud to secure the strap.
- The thigh holster is a rectangular holster with rounded edges towards the back.
- There is a dark brown matching strap securing the bottom of the holster around the right thigh, just above the knee.
Gloves
- Black gloves with dark brown leather fingers.
- The gloves have a black armor plate with a black triangle in the center.
- There is also a wrap around each glove and hand plate of each hand that matches the fabric of the under suit.
Weapons
Gaffe Stick
- Gaffe stick is dark brown and must be longer and thinner than traditional tusken gaffe stick and approximately 60 inches long to match references
- The top rounded end of the stick is the same as the traditional gaffe stick with knobs and point
- The bottom end has 4 fins that are the same as the traditional gaffe stick. The point at the end of the stick is approximately 6 inches long, which is longer than the traditional gaffe stick
- There are 3 silver stripes along the shaft of the gaffe stick starting approximately 12 inches from the rounded end, at approximately 4 inch intervals, are 1 inch wide. From approximately 4 inches above the first silver stripe is a decorative carved design that wraps around the entire circumference. The design is sections approximately ¾ inch tall starting with a section inset that is approximately ¼ inch tall with rounded rope-like section in the middle. This is followed by an approximately ½ inch wide herringbone arrow pattern that alternates direction, down the entire length. Below the 3rd silver stripe, is a tapered metal cylinder that is approximately 24 inches long and ends where the 4 fins begin.
- Dark brown leather strap attached to gaffe stick is approximately 1 inch wide that is worn across the chest from left shoulder to right side
- The strap has a finishing stitch running along both sides approximately ¼ inch from each edge
- Strap attaches to the gaffe stick with a ½ inch wide loop just below the left shoulder and near the waist
- The weathering on the strap and gaffe stick is a dark color and must match visual references
Rifle
- Rifle is similarly in design to the tusken cycler rifle. It is approximately 60 inches long with a black scope
- Rifle has a dark brown stock with a lighter brown end that is approximately ½ inch wide
- There are four 1 ½ inch brass bands at 6 inch intervals along the barrel of the rifle beginning where the barrel and stock meet
- There are 3 brass cylindrical greeblies forward of the trigger that are spaced approximately ¼ inch apart.
- There is a strap around the stock in front of the trigger and near the brass band that is second from the barrel that matches the back holster belt. The portion of the strap that wraps around the stock has holes for adjustment. And the part of the strap that wraps near the brass band on the barrel has a brass rivet or snap holding the loop around the barrel
- The end of the barrel after the brass band narrows to be skinnier than the rest of the barrel
- Dark brown leather strap is attached to the rifle and is approximately 1 inch wide that is worn across the chest from left shoulder to right side
- The strap has a finishing stitch running along both sides approximately ¼ inch from each edge
- Strap attaches to the gaffe stick with a ½ inch wide loop just below the left shoulder and near the waist
- The weathering on the strap and rifle is a dark color and must match visual references
Sidearm
- The black sidearm has a single cylinder barrel that narrows at the end. Attached to the top of the sidearm are two smaller cylinders. One is longer, with the end cut at an angle, and starts just above the trigger and runs to the end of the barrel and is the same circumference as the small end of the barrel, and is attached at 2 points. Above the longer cylinder is a shorter cylinder that is the same circumference and runs from approximately ¼ inch from the end of the sidearm to the end of the strap that holds the first cylinder and ends in and angle toward the barrel. In front of the trigger is a small rectangular box. Sidearm must match visual references.
Quality of Armor/Prop Material:
All armor parts and props should have no visible construction methods including but not limited to Bondo, putty, filler, 3D print lines or sanding marks. All finished parts should have an even and smooth finish. Paint that has bled under taped off sections must be cleaned up and not left unaddressed. Only parts that are supposed to be crude within the Star Wars universe such as bone or other organic materials, cracked leather, hammered metal, severely weathered parts, etc. are exempt.
All painted parts should have an even and smooth finish. Rushed, excess paint resulting in runs, uneven, and orange-peeling paint jobs will not be accepted.
3D Prints:
The use of 3D printed parts for armor and weapons is allowed. The 3D prints must be sanded and/or filled as such so that no visible print lines remain.
