This is a brief visual guide for how to use nylon strapping, chicago screws and legos to assemble your legacy plates.  These are the Drake templates designed by Ohl’d Vart from the Legacy forum, and are available here (https://mandalorianmercs.org/forum/index.php?topic=73517.0).

You’ve traced your templates out on Sintra, and you’ve cut out your plates

And shaped them:

The chest plate gets 2 holes, one for connecting to the collar plate.  Because of the complex curves, you'll likely find it easier to do the center strap first before working on the sides.

You'll probably find it useful to use the smallest drill bit you have to drill a guide hole, before moving on to the appropriate size drill bit on the hole for your chicago screws.  Sep used the smallest bit he had to drill center holes to keep the larger bit (13/64) from walking.

Using a 1 x 1 stud to mark the intended overlap for the plates

We recommend starting with your bottom plate and work your way up the torso armor, when placing your strapping.  To make a hole in the strapping itself, you can use a simple hole punch, and use a lighter to seal the holes so they don't fray and widen.

Line up the center lines and the overlap marks, then mark the next hole with a sharpie

Repeat for the sides, one plate at a time; both sides of the bottom plate, then the next plate, etc.

With Legacy plates, you can have the collar either overlapping or abutting the chest plates.

Repeat (but usually easier) for backplate

In summary

Strapping up your Legacy style armor is fairly straightforward and easy to accomplish; you can realistically expect to get it done in one sitting.   As with any aspect of your kit, we highly recommend that you start, and maintain, a Work in Progress thread so that other folks can follow along, offer advice and suggestions, and learn a few things for themselves.
