Title: Mag-boots

So, I just got back from finally seeing Solo, and I have been struck by inspiration. 

So, I'm planning out a hostile-environment Mando (maybe join the brigade once I finally make OM, who knows), and when the Range Troopers stepped out onto that train, I thought to myself, "what self respecting Mando doesn't have a pair of mag-boots for traversing hazardous environments?"

Perhaps a version of mag-boots not quite so clunky, but I do believe that should be doable.

First things first though, I need to draw up some designs.

Okie-dokie, I have come up with a tentative idea of how I want to go about building my mag-boots. 

Taking a few design ideas from ski boots, the mag-boots will consist of three parts: the 'shoe' and two clamshells that will close around my calves. I'll step into the shoe, then close the clamshells, which will be held together by parachute buckles glued or bolted to the inside.  The mag-boots will also be designed to be worn with my regular boots on.

Basically, I'm making a pair of high-tech galoshes.

I'll draw up a rough sketch when I get the chance.
