Name is pending too. lol. This is part of my first kit. More pictures will be uploaded later.
Got my vest, loincloth, and kama in from Aria today!

A girth belt will help a lot.
I already had my 'flight suit' AKA scrubs. The gloves are from Sam's Club.
The boots are from a local guy. They're properly rugged; I'll need to put boot armor or something to cover up the laces. And paint the black parts brown so they match my gloves.

Been thinking about waist parts.
Considering getting a horse girth belt. Is a leather version acceptable? I don't mind the mohair corded style but a leather strap seems easier to source.
-
Leather is an approvable material for your waist items, yes.

Soooo, in the year since I started on this project, I've gained a lot of weight. >:
Will need to get a new flak vest. Probably will have the standard shoulders as opposed to the Night Owl T-shirt style.
-
Getting version 2 of my flak vest made over the weekend. Now I just need a girth belt and boot spats. Probably going to get this (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005JERMO4/?coliid=IYNX6PBIMA4EB&colid=3H1S6XKZRU0PV&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it) rayon girth to use as a belt. How do people usually belt the girth together? I'm guessing like a regular saddle or use a handbag strap, though I could be wrong!

Making a list of soft parts I still need.
- Swiss Army leather gaiters
- Girth Belt
- Girth belt strap
- Gardening-style knee pads (under the flight suit)
- Elastic
- Velcro
I wound up getting fabric for a new flak vest and having someone local make it.
-
Got the girth belt and strap today. Ordered some Swiss gaiters. I think my roller derby knee gaskets will fit underneath my flight suit.

Switched from scrubs to black BDUs.
Will need to have someone take in the bagginess of the arms and legs. And cut off the side pockets on the pants.

gauntlets look good with those BDUs. Definitely need some tailoring to remove bagginess, but looks like a solid base to work from. You might consider starting to leave them outside to weather now- that color looks dark

Tailoring is done! Here's the first picture of all my soft and hard parts together. I will tuck the girth belt rings in next time. And probably put the kama and loincloth over the girth belt. And then the ammo belt over that.

There's still strings on the vest and it's not polished yet. But it's getting there.

Today was vest altering day! Since I got top surgery. Going to make a fresh collar and ab plate. I know the spacing is off but that's because the velcro angle changed. Also will get a different ammo belt because I don't want to get the old one dirty. I still do have gloves, boots, and spats but didn't want to put them on. After the armor is all squared away, I'll weather the soft parts for real.
