Good Morning;

After an issue with my kits Color/Design came up I needed to change it up. Here is the new Updated Color/Design of the kit. Starting with the Helmet;

Todays (April 23) Progress saw a quick test fit with my new Waist Sash being done. everything fit nicely which was a bonus. Im going with the loin cloth as a comfort choice and because it dosent look half bad. Also got Velcro sewin to my vest today which also helped to make some adjustments to my plates with the heat gun

Love the colors, but I'm a bit biased, lol, I'm usually gold with purple and red or blue and red accents.

Great work on the soft parts (although definitely need some weathering) and I am right there with you on the comfort of a loin cloth. I try a cod with every kit and almost every time I move to a loin cloth.

Critique time! Only a couple of things, really. The spacing on your torso plates is pretty definitely too wide. Not, like, dramatically so, but just enough so. If you can, I'd like to see a straight-on shot to say for certain, but they may also be a touch on the small side. I don't think they're small enough to need a recut, but a straight on shot would definitely help determine it. Looks like you've got a smart phone; what I do is prop my phone on something facing me with the camera open so I can line up the shot and tell either Google or Bixby to take a selfie.

Are the plates vacuum-formed? Or thicker sintra tapered down? Either way, some of your edges look pretty rough. It's not super noticeable in the pic with you wearing them, but is definitely noticeable in the closeups. I'd hate to see you have to repaint, but you might have to clean those edges up to where some repainting is necessary. I would hope to see an App Team member make a ruling on that, or your clan Ruus'alor. Unfortunately, with everything going on in the world right now I've noticed it's pretty quiet around here.

Really digging the way you're going with this, and I hope to see more progress soon!

Tha is for the pointers Vod!
The "rough" edges are done on purpose to give it a sort of pounded steel idea, my Rus hasn't said anything about it as of yet and they've bin tracking it for some time. As for spacing iv gone for about an Inch give or take a hair. I'll try and get a better shot later today or tomorrow and update my WIP as soon as I have it!

No problem. If your ruus'alor is good with the rough edges, then you're probably good to go; they have a training of sorts on what to look for, last I heard, so they would know. The spacing thing might just be the angle then, an inch +0, -1/4 is just what you want. No worries on rushing, but I'm going to be trying to get back on the boards at least a few times a week, so I'll keep an eye out for your update!

Did an other test fit today (April 25) with the new Shin Plate and Knees. Everything is fitting nicely so far and my taping for the test wasnt working very well so my Shins and knees kept slipping, but all in all im happy with how its going

Tape fitting is definitely a pain in the butt, but it looks like you're doing great!

I used a combination of 40 and 60 Grit Sandpaper for the damage and Black/Grey Acrylic Paint for the "dirty"

Now for the Fit with everything together

Looks great! A couple of minor things; I can't tell from the pics if your pouches are weather, so the App team might ask you to either give closer up pics of them or weather them more. That's something I had to do myself, too. Beyond that, you might want to tighten your knees up a little bit and bring them up just like half an inch or so; you have to have good spacing between them and the shins too, just like the torso plates. That's about all I can see on the actual kit. From there, for your official pre-app and app pics, make sure that the sunlight is behind your photographer so that it hits you directly rather than coming in from the side like that. Lighting is the trickiest part of the app pics, to be sure. Excellent work!

Thanks for the input Vod! It was a quick n dirty fit lastnight after I got my pouchs from my buddy, they have a nice natural weather to them but like you said I may need a bit more. Someone on the Facebook Group also mentioned the knees as being a little crooked so it might just be a simple matter of tweaking how they sit. You've bin super helpful and I look forward to showing you the changes as they come!

Here are a few Progress Photos that are a little late to the WIP. If you haven't noticed im terrible at progress photos. BUT! Im trying haha

Here we have my Cape that I worked on yesterday for weathering as well as some work I did for my shins as a 2nd method of retention other than Velcro.
I also have some extra kitted photos with better lighting.

Here we have my Cape,
I took a note from a friend and did a little burning at the bottom of it. First i started with with a pair of Scissors and cutting V Shapes in the bottom, I then took a lighter to it and let the flame do what it wanted for a few seconds. Afterwards I took a Spray Bottle with a Bleach/Water mix and went over the lower portion of the burned areas. I then went over it with some sandpaper just to give it a little rougher look. There was a spot that accidentally got a bit of bleach where I didn't want it so I took sandpaper to those little spot and just rolled with it.

Just a little bit I noticed, the red on your gloves seems a bit bright compared to the other reds, you may want to dim it down a bit.

You noticed correctly, theres still a little bit of weathing to be done to the flight suit and to dull the red down a touch

Good day everyone! Its bin a long while since iv posted or updated anything. Iv bin busy in a Galaxy Far Far Away bounty hunting for the CAF.
Today iv got a couple small updates to add plus a full kit up from Halloween 2020 and some observations I had from the fit of the kit.

Gunna start with the Kit Up followed by a couple weapons additions to the build;

(https://i.imgur.com/6Y9bDcz.jpg)
(https://i.imgur.com/dRyrygz.jpg)
(https://i.imgur.com/uA9FsOr.jpg)

So a couple things I noticed with my set up while walking around in it for the 2hrs that i did for Halloween.
Cons
- The Knees were not very comfortable. To solve this problem i simply applied some heat and widened them just a hair which helped out alot.
- I didnt like my boot armor very much! So i will be changing those at some point, might do something simple and add a pair of gators to the outfit
- My Shin armor is great, just needs a little tweak or i may just upgrade them to take the place of the knees altogether
- My helmet is a touch small for my big head, however, it gives me a more tanky look cause its not an overly large helmet. There is plans to replace it in the future with something that i can add fans to though

Pros
- My cape bellows in a overly dramatic way in the breeze and i love it!
- The touch wider spacing i use for my chest plates works great as im a bit of a larger gent, there's no rubbing or bumping of the pates.
- Over all im very happy with how its worked out!

Change that are Progress
Im currently working on a set of Post Empire Hand Plates and Gauntlets to replace my current ones. Im also working on a 1 piece flight suit that still needs t ohave the alterations sewn up.

Next up is my weapon Additions, i made a Pike/Axe type weapon with scrap sintra i had and some PVC Pipe. I also picked up a Live Action Westar 35 from a vendor down in the States.

First up will be the Pike/Axe.

Now we have the Westar 35 LA

Im hoping to get some of my smaller upgrades done before i go away again for Training/Courses this summer so hopefully there will be more to come between now and the end of June!

you've been hard at work! can't wait to see the new bucket :)

also, the pins from a clothes hanger is a brilliant idea, I've been trying to figure out what I'm going to use once I get to that stage.
