What needs doing to this to make it not earthy? Lol

Since it's just a set of pouches, I don't think much needs to be done. A LOT of surplus ammo pouches were used in Star Wars without any kind of modification. At worst, you would need to remove any logos or bits that identify it as a particular brand.

Covering the velcro, covering screw heads, and maybe painting the clips metallic. The general idea is to make it look not-tactical. Or, tactical in a world war 2 sense; the "rugged future" sense.
