Title: Spats for my Anzati Hunter (Vampire Hunter redux)
Post by: Jorg Mereel on Apr 27, 2010, 10:35 AM
Ner vode,

On a recent trip to Colombia, I saw some police officers and motorcycle couriers using these cool spats that I thought would work great for my Mando. After a little asking around, I managed to get hold of a pair.

They're 100% leather, and the straps and stirrups have buckles for that "bad boy" look... and they only set me back 20 bucks!

My idea is to wear them with a pair of industrial-style shoes I have, and perhaps beef them up with Jango shin guards.

What do you think?

Cheers!

Love 'em! Did you get them locally or online? Been looking for something similar!

Actually, I just asked the courier of the building I was working in... he said there was a police and army supplies store nearby, and offered to get me a pair! As simple as that...

However, I found a couple of online leads on a very similar item, namely "vintage Swiss Army spats":

Hope this helps!
