I just have to say, that I personally LOVE these: http://pine-creek-enterprises.amazonwebstore.com/European-Swiss-Motorcycle-Vintage-Leather-Boot/M/B0013O8XLA.htm?traffic_src=froogle&utm_medium=organic&utm_source=froogle I've seen them around for anywhere from $11 to $20 some odd (that just happened to be the first site on google).

Military surplus/ebay usually has canvas ones, as well.

I recommend...

http://www.spatcave.com/spatstore2.htm

USCM Leg Armor from ALIENS, about midway down the page.  I know one of the Florida Mandos had a pair with his kit (but he moved somewhere out of state I think).

I own a pair (gee, for a USCM costume) and they are pretty comfortable considering.

I googled "free spats pattern" if you're a do-it-yourselfer.

The leatherette ones are cheap enough one could barely make them cheaper! Just wonder how to knock the 'shine' off.

lol.  Thanks for the help brothers.  I think the best way to know the shiny off of those would be to wear them as much as possible under a pair of jeans mebbe some brlilo or dustin' em up.

Lets keep the snideness gone, or just don't bother to post man.

That aside, those actually could work quite well with a few mods to change them, and are fairly cheap. Though not really going to help in the way we need it.

There's a difference between snide and subtle...but it is...well, subtle.  I forgive you for not recognizing the difference.

And as that is armor from another film property, it's not allowed per the CRLs.  It would be considered a crossover mando.  Correct me if I'm wrong, but i don't think I am.

It isn't a crossover because it is only a single piece of armor that is not instantly recognizable.  A crossover would be making an Iron Man or Klingon Mando.

And now let's return to our regularly scheduled programing.

And even if it is, products from other licesnses are allowed so long as not recognizable.

And now.. Subtle is not assinine or snide, both of which your comment seems to be construed as.

Take it to PMs if you want to insult me further.  otherwise..."just don't bother to post man".

Hmm, good point.  I just remember a local Mando with them and forgot the Crossover rule.  However, change out the knees and... boom!

You can also look into things called half chaps. Usually used in equestrian(sp) wear.

Have a good one,
