Title: Flight Suit Substitutes, if they exist?
Post by: Tay Ragnos on Aug 28, 2010, 03:30 AM
What would be a possible substitute for a flight suit? I'm looking at the requirements for a Modern Era costume and I'm confused about the part concerning the clothing being "comparable to a flight suit". Help!

Comparable means "Looks almost identical".  That means, in the case of a 2-piece flightsuit substitute, that the shirt and pants are the same color and fabric, or at the very least indistinguishable from being a one-piece flightsuit.  Ideally a woven cotton or cotton/poly from the same dye lot (so the color matches identically).

Thank you for the clarification. It's really late in the night, and I need to sleep. But thank you again, and I will take this into account for my costume part list.

To give a little more perspective; some of the folks on the boards have used modified track suits (I believe Hydra pioneered that method), while others have used solid color BDUs. I myself have used simple black dress pants with a long-sleeved black shirt, as well as a black dress shirt, and a combo Underarmor heatgear long sleeved shirt and pants. The important part is, as OriKad said, that when all the armor is on, people can't tell that you aren't wearing a standard-type flight suit.
