If you would like to join this cause please contact me with the piece of armor you will be doign the template for and I will get them posted with full credit to the creator...

Awesome! I've been looking for ideas for either my next kit or upgrades to my current.
-
Pretty kick-shebs there!
-
Update...
-
Anyone trying these? Any Feedback? We printed them out and had to tweak them a little based on his size but nothing drastic. I will be working on the gauntlets today and try to do a video on them.
-
I'll give them a shot if they're mmcc approved.

I really, really like this armor style. Thank you for posting the templates!
I just might use the shoulder/bicep armor on my current kit.
-
Thank you very much. I also added a full tutorial on how to do the gauntlets.... check it out.
-
Couple of tweeks I would make, having stared at it nearly every since 2007. Bracers look like they're coming out nicely.
-
looks pretty good. never thought to use pvc for armor before.
-
wow
How did I miss this thread
thanks for posting this!
-
Your are most welcome. Lucas what changes would you make?
-
Question. Did you finish the legs yet and will you be making videos for those as well? I'll be picking up some pvcsoon as I get paid next.
-
Hmmm... I think the raised rectangular piece needs to be increased in Width and Lenght so that it lines up with the sides of the forward greebie. I would also increase the height so the rectangle piece sits taller. I seem to remember that the piece was larger (might of been my monitor settings) back when SWG was still running, but it's the only thing that looks off, if only slightly to me.
Like always though your knocking another project out of the park though Dave, and making it easy enough that someone like me can do it :P
Have a good one,
Hagen

OK so ive figured out that i want to Make armor like this. I drew out a costume and i was wonder what brigade would this mostly fall under and would i be able to use a rifle that im working on?
-
Have you put together the thigh plate yet? The main surface on your template has a jog in it that I'm not quite relating to the armor
-
Wow, Ithica, never unimpressed with your vids, bud..... and when you were talking about venting your house if you heat PVC in the oven, i SWEAR you said "i have birds, i used to have alot more", i shat a birck, backed it up, then realized my comp's speakers suck lol! Again, great job!!!
-
Excellent templates!
Keep up the fantastic work.
-
awesome stuff.
and in case it hasn't been said enough, thank you for the videos!! visual aids are a godsend to ADD sufferers such as myself lol. now i just need to draw out some bicep armor templates and heat up some PVC.
-
Thanks for sharing with us! I might just have to use some of this for my build.
How did you secure the gauntlets? I watched the vid you posted on them but didn't see how you did that.
-
just started my work on this last night. having sizing issues, probably gonna need to print the templates out at 175%-200%. printing them as is might fit a small child.
P.S. Bump
-
Ithica,
Excellent tutorial on the gauntlet build. I learned a lot. Definately taking it and going to start on a set of gaunts for my son. Thanks for all the work you put into this.
-
Did you make the gauntlet template?
-
Excellent work on this armor vod! I plan on using some ideas from this armor on my kit. But I plan on tweaking it for more improved wearer movement. :)
-
does these fit into modern era?
-
Yup
-
I'll give these templates a try! Loved SWG and spent most of my time as a commando!
-
Thanks for creating the templates.
I printed these out in A4 (I'm about 172cm, regular sized female) and didn't change anything. They're the perfect size!
-
Really been looking forward to something like this! Am I missing something though, I don't see the bottom template for the gaunts?
EDIT: Watched the tut, nevermind ^___^
-
I noticed the Gauntlet Front template you provide is quite different from the one in your video.. The one in the video looks much wider, with more drastic angles where it widens out..
Great tutorial though! I was thinking I was gonna have to buy my gaunts, but thanks to this I should be able to put that money towards something else.. like shooty things or some leather
-
Anyone has this templates so they can be reposted please?

This is what I was able to recover by doing some digging. I am not sure if it is a complete set, but it looks close if not.

If itīs not complet itīs close enough. Thank you vod, youīve just made one of my recruits very happy
-
Happy to help. I have a very unlabled set of the templates in PDF format set up for a large format printer as well, but that would require a lot more work for most to print.
-
Just a question, anyone got photos of their kit? I'm looking at using this for my initial mando kit.
-
Honestly, your best bet is going to be digging through the Mandalorian Mercs Costume Gallery (http://mandalorianmercs.org/forum/index.php?board=14.0). It's not an ideal solution, I know, and will require some digging, but you can find some gems there.

I am extremely new to these forums, and cosplay as a whole, but does anyone have suggestions as to how I can resize the templates to fit my body? Or at least point me in the right direction?
:jango:

Print at different scaling on your printer, or same with a copy machine. If smaller, this is no problem. If larger, you may need to look at legal sized paper, or printing one piece with the "tile" option. Or you can measure and draw your chest on a piece of poster board, then draw the templates to fit that.

Thank you so much for the scaled back piece. These templates fit me pretty well with no alterations and I will most likely use them for my first build, you definitely saved me from some headaches.

How do you cut the PVC Pipe into the sections and shapes you want? I've done some minor plumbing and have used saw to cut horizontal sections but never into more geometric shapes.
-
My gauntlets are similar to this style. I used my table jigsaw and dremel for cutting things out. All my armor is from 3 or 4 inch PVC pipes.
-
I have a question on the closings for these gauntlets. are they a solid peice or did you use piano hinges on them? I am at the bracers phase of my own build and at a loss on how to open/close them.
-
I'm not sure for the original design. Mine are slip on and solid.

Is there anywhere to find a 3D print file for this kit. I started making from pepakura but it is taking so long and I have been plagued with retrys
-
Very cool, just what I was looking for.

Does anyone know where to find the templates for Post-imperial era armor?
