12= for the range finder so it sit a little lower than the og way (not perfect but better looking )

before work

the work = cut tab infront and on lower part , open the range finder and cafully cut the little 2 end bumps for better movement .

after the work you gained, mabe half a inch or less ,now it look less stupid with range finder not pointing to much in the air

Title: Re: HASBRO BOBA EASY MOD
Post by: lolow on Mar 17, 2012, 01:13 AM
from that point glue the sides of the visor to the helmet . if you go for the mando og helmet look; you will need to extend the lower visor pointed parts and instal new cheek sides

,if your modding it into a special infantry do your mods from this point on, to your choice of design . hope this will help some one,  who wants to mod a hasbro helmet , less guess work /faster build.

Looking good, one thing I'd suggest adding are some more minor scrapes and scratches.

Take some rough grit sandpaper to it and add some light distressing, really helps add the depth and make the major weathering look more natural.

Ah shoot, nearly missed it entirely.
You've got the Shock Infantry sigil on your armor.
You're not actually allowed to wear that until you get your armor approved and then apply to join the Brigades.

Looks pretty good, other than a few things I can see (though wait for the app team to weigh in too)

1. Neckseal, definitely.

2. Your chest plates look about 1/2" too wide on each side.  The edges of the collar plate should line up with the edges of the chest plates.

3.  Those knees are just painted carpenter's knee pads, and IIRC they're not allowed without modification.

4. An aesthetic change would be to get all the straps holding your leg armor on under control-- either cut off or restrain the dangling parts, it just looks a little sloppy with them flopping around.

1. neckseal. im getting one
2. those plates there sized for my big chest  dont want to look to small
3. knees ,dont know how they can be modded to be ``approved``
4. straps are not tucked in because its my first try putting it on  ,wen i do wear it they  will be tucked in better

The collar plate looks a bit low. I think if you brought that up a touch, it would fall right into place....   8)

Your boots have a reflective logo at the heel.  You may want to address that.

i'm following your instructions, step by step ...
(http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f76/xSchmitterSx/Mandalorion%20Project/th_P1110893.jpg) (http://s45.photobucket.com/user/xSchmitterSx/media/Mandalorion%20Project/P1110893.jpg.html)

i turn the battery holder around, this with a very very knife, so the cut is straight and cleaner.
as i decide the helmet don't need to make noise, i cut on advise of our lightsaber the wires by the speaker, removed the speaker, and put in the place of the speaker some helmet isolation.

the right ear:

i like to remove als the sound chips ... so i keep only the red light in the scope working (who is by the way is fixed like you show, so the scope is front my eyes.

i just wondering, do some one have experience about remove the chips and wires i don't need in the right ear, so i keep only the stuff i need for the light, any one a suggestion or advice, what to remove or cut.

thank you for your time.

well since you dont have the speaker you wont ear sound and its  to much trouble ( imo) to star playing with the board ,unless you do one from scratch ,  mine i just removed the speaker and the lights still do what its originaly  was build to do , so every time i put range finder down it change but with no sound
