Title: Flak vest material question
Post by: Cinciri Ramser on Aug 30, 2012, 08:13 PM
I was looking for material to make my vest, and someone suggested duck cloth, but they didn't have the color I needed but I found something similar. The only issue is the sign said it was denim, and I know the CRL says no denim, but it looks and feels nothing like denim. So can I use it, or should I keep searching????

Denim like that is fine, we just don't want you to cut up a jean jacket and call it good.

As a vest maker (on hiatus), I'd use that material.

Jerek,
You've already got an approved costume, do the white snake one for fun!  I don't know how you're going to work chest hear and fur fringe with a jean jacket into a Mando outfit, but I'm very interested?!!
