Title: Helmet Speakers
Post by: Thraxxas on Nov 07, 2013, 10:11 AM
I was looking for a tut on installing mic/speakers to be able to hear inside the helmet.  I was having no luck until I ran across this.  Teaches how to hook up the circuit and a good too/parts list

I picked up a Spy Gear brand Micro Listener at Target for $7 the other day.  I haven't tried it out yet, but you could mount the microphone under your armour or inside a helmet and listen through the earpiece or hook up a speaker.

This is very close to the same way I built my system.  The only real difference was the amp kits.  That's probably the only part of this tutorial I would change, because there are some great inexpensive kits that will run all day off 2 AAA batteries instead of a 9v.

Also, looking at the website where he got his amp kit...you could save a lot of space by swapping out the kit he used for this kit:
