Title: One Battery to power them all . . .
Post by: The Yin on Aug 21, 2015, 04:05 PM
I'm new to the forums, and I'm only in the planning stage of my kit/helmet.
I'm starting with the helmet and I'm deciding on what I want to install, but there's one question I haven't seen address so often; POWER?

I see a lot of AA, AAA and 9 volts in use, but would it be possible to use 1 Li-Ion cell to power everything in a helmet??
Everything being; Hearing aid (mic/amp/headphone speakers), Voice Amp (if in helmet, not on person), fans, LEDs.
I plan on having all that in my bucket, but would like to have just 1 battery to charge. Or battery pack, such as these; http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/Li-ion-Packs-C85.aspx (http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/Li-ion-Packs-C85.aspx)

I know these Li-ion packs can handle the load since we use them for sabers, but I'm not sure about having all these different items with differing voltage requirements running on a single 3.7 or 7.4 volt source.

Is this feasible? Has anyone done this, or tried to do this yet?

You can always just adjust the voltage down: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00OZGVL4O

Me personally I ain't stickin' no LiPo near my melon. :)
