Sorry to hear about the situation with your plates. Making them is not too bad. The there are two tricks with making plates to fit your chest:
1. Template! I can't stress this enough. Use cardstock, draw plate design on it (I used printable boba plates to start and changed the design from there). Then work with a friend to try on the plates to determine where to cut darts in the design just like in sewing so that they bend around your curves in a way that fits you. Now this may take a few tries. I made 3 before I was happy with the curve and the proportions. I'm 34B so I only needed 1 dart for each plates, larger cup sizes usually need a few more darts.
2. Get a comfy bra that you plan to wear under your finished costume and wear while templating. You want to make sure you fit your plates to the right curves because each bra is different.

Here is where you can find printable templates

Here is a picture of my cardstock templates for reference for darting. When i fold the template over my curves the edges line up perfectly, then I just filled in the slight gap with epoxy putty.

Helmets / Re: Soundproof Helmet

I imagine the previous comments are your best bet because as you get into sound proof you also run into air restriction. The only other way I see is to get sound proofing foam and build a mouth nest in the helmet that contours to ONLY your mouth and have the Mic inside that. That should middle you enough that only sound goes mainly to the Mic And out the speakers. Though more work than really necessary, but an idea.

That design is pretty slick! Love where you got the inspiration from!
Can't wait to see more from this build.

Alright Vode, seeing as I was unfortunately unable to keep up with any form of trooping over the last couple years thanks to being VERY busy with my job and all of the associated travels... I will be rebuilding my armor upon my return to the Continental US.

Cause second only to my family, you nerds are what I've missed most being stationed out here in Japan.

Things I KNOW:
- Keeping my bucket and color scheme
- Keeping in the modern era
- Keeping the spirit of the Alpha Armor plates in design
- Plates will be metal (Steel and Aluminum)
- Will be direct to Force Hunter

Things to contemplate:
- Gage of steel?
- Keep my old canvas vest, or craft a new leather one?
- Electronics????
- Designing lower body accessories that will allow me to be comfortable in all circumstances.

I look forward to returning, and seeing everyone in here and out there.

Concept pics to come once I remember my account info for Photobucket

I wouldn´t print the armor. Its easier to make out of Sintra, and you can make it fit perfectly to your body.

The concept looks good so far,
maybe some accents with some kind of other color could look good.
Otherwise you can think about adding some patterns for getting more structure than only green !

Hi new to the club. I'm researching my first kit and would love to see some heavy kits to give me some ideas and weather I'm jumping staight into the deep end. Thanks
