Hey there!

You are correct that for Post Imperial CRLs that Loin Cloths are not allowed. I would say it really depends on how you present the items, a flap by itself, even if intended to be apart of the Kama, it will be judged as a loincloth. I would recommend making it show that the flap is more so a kama instead of a loincloth, potentially by making it wider and wrap around more.

Also a Soft Cod plate is just a cod plate made with soft parts, for example, using types of hardened cloth or leather to still shape the codplate.

Here is a sample of a soft cod plate, however it would still need to form to the body instead of hanging losely like a loin cloth.

I hope this answers your question!

Late to the party, but back a few years ago we used to use the blue shop towels instead of using the fiberglass cloth or mat. Itís fibrous but not as likely to cause long sharp strands.

Being insanely sensitive to 'glass I've used both linen and hemp material before... super sturdy!

The blue is meant to be the desert sky ^^

That's what I assumed (looking out my window at the high desert sky on a frosty morn)... I think the vertical stripes are what's bugging me, my brain wants to turn you on your side.

which, the most searched completed kit for this era/armor style is

I would like to do a light armor with this helmet, and incorporating different items from the SWTOR and the TMA ramikadyc armor. and I don't want to get boxed up like a clone trooper.

THe assessment would be to use  a blend of the id'ed parts into a single light armor kit. am i going in the correct direction?
While using a long sleeved coverall as a sealed flight suit and shoulder and side straps for the chest armor vs flak jacket.

As well as having a complex chest and ab armor with simple gauntlets or wraps? it doesn't seem to mesh well, or does it truly lie in how to balance all this together to create a congruent kit?

Hey Vod, I see you reference my LC kit in your post and I missed this post back in 2020.  I see you are still active on the forums and currently working on a canon Gar Saxon kit from CW S7.  Should you want to continue your Late Crusader concept for a second kit once you complete your Gar and become official, do not hesitate to reach directly out to me with a PM about my Late Crusader kit.

gauntlets

Nice, did you make these gauntlets from scratch or get them someone?  I'm looking at potentially upgrading my LC kit to have hard gauntlets like these instead of leather ones.
