First Bucket- WIP
« on: May 12, 2016, 12:23 AM »
I tried making a scratch bucket out of the 5 gallon buckets and it was coming out fine. It just didn't seem strong enough so I'm going to attempt to make one out of steel.

Got all the major parts cut using a grinder and cutting wheel & did the hard to reach areas with a dremel. My hands are still tingling, I love it.

Dremels have an awesome attachment to take the motor out of your hand. It works amazing. Good start, I'm watching with interest.

Thanks for the compliment, I was following Bjourk's post on how he did his. I believe he used 16 gauge steel on his and it came out being about 7.5 lbs. which I don't really won't to lug around so I went smaller for weight and workability. I don't have the high tech equipment he does in my garage so I'm finding out that I'm having to spot weld in separate areas or I end up burning through the metal.
