I found out Friday night.... I haven't stopped smiling all weekend.  It was all worth it, as much blood, sweat, tears, smushed fingers etc, I'd do it again in a heartbeat.  I LOVE my kill stripes.

I get your frustration with things moving around as you take pictures. I thought Mirdala was going to blow a vein in her head getting mine all straightened out. Move one thing and something else slides out of place. It happens to all of us.

You're still bringing your kit this weekend, right? Based on the pre-app comments it looks like you're just down to placement and spacing issues. I'm making this my mission this weekend. If you can get all the physical fixes done (weathering, etc), I'll make sure we get you squared away at the con. Its not the best environment but we'll have plenty of eyes and hands to get the best pics possible.

Thanks, vod. Yeah it's been a bit *rawr* recently. Of course, I get what all the feedback is, and totally understand this is the whole reason for doing pre-apps. And I'm down with that 100%.

Kryamla is coming over again tonight, and we'll take as many pictures as we can before we lose the light behind the suburbs at 6. Haha!

I fully intend to bring the kit to WonderCon. So, if need be, I'll take you up on the offer.  My biggest stressor right now is the fact that as of Sunday night, my kit will be out of my possession until we get to Florida. So it's this week, or not until after C8.

I think the last set of pictures we took tonight are good to go through pre apps, regional pre apps, and then hopefully onto app!

We did adjust the top of her chest plates and I think that really helped!

Oh, somebody else with a breast shelf that causes the collar and chest plates to look like they're overlapping when there's a good gap between them. I know that feeling all too well. Tweaking the position of mine for days I was. If the bathroom mirror could talk I'm quite sure it would have got to the point of just sighing in frustration at my continued posing The last set you posted in the pre-app thread look good to me.

Okay so here's the quandary. Aside from inacting the ancient torture of breast binding... how do I show

My son, who is 6" taller than me took the close up by holding the camera about 4" above my eye level. Standing 4 feet away from me, holding the phone up to get that same angle, is going to make the rest of me look out of proportion. Any suggestions from curvy Mandos, or those who've taken approved app pics of curvy Mandos?

Or should I just lop a 1/2" off the top of my chestplates so the gap shows from the frontal view? *exasperated sigh*

I have no advice for you, since the laws of physics and anatomy are sort of against you on this issue.  I can only offer words of encouragement - the App Team seems to be very responsive, and also very thorough.  When you submit your app, definitely include your WIP url.  I'm pretty sure they'll check it out, and having seen curvy women apply, they'll probably just double check your WIP to see that your spacing is correct, even though the official application photos don't show it, because, again, physics and anatomy. 

I'm pretty sure you'll be ok.

Ensure the spacing is correct. This should be visible from the side view, the front will more than likely look to be overlapping a little. Then take one from higher view to show the gap from above breast shelf level - pass that last pic to a Ruus'alor (or any app members floating in your thread... looks around suspiciously) and we can add the extra angles to your app as there's not any extra space on the actual form.

I've also got a slightly larger gap between my collar and chest plates than between my other plates that helps with the illusion from the front view.

That's funny you should say that, Kris, because that's what I've done.   The two pictures I showed ^^^ back up there, were the two submitted to local pre app (which passed) & regional pre app (where my app is currently). And my Ruus'alore / local app team members have been AWESOME about getting feedback to me.

Early feedback I'm getting is that one response was that they'd prefer another frontal shot, where the gap is more prominently displayed. And I think the only way to show it would be to physically alter the plates, e.g. take off 1/4-1/2" from the top, to widen the gap that way. If I moved them down, they'd cut into the top portion of the ab plate. Hmm... trimming them may be good to do anyway.

At this point, I'm just trying to get ahead of the curve, in case a new picture needs to be taken - however, if you're saying we could add the close up as an addendum to the app pic submissions... then maybe new photos don't have to be taken.  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I had to send in a close up of the weathering on my pouches because it didn't show well in the app photos. You sending in a high angle showing the spacing shouldn't be any different. I agree with Kris, send it to one of the app team and ask that they attach it to your application.

Also add that shot to the first post in this thread so it will be easy to find when they check your WIP thread.
