While I'm already well into this project, I figured, "Better late than never."
While I was originally going with a slightly deserty Mando with just an orange coat of paint, I had a glorious idea while in the shower one night, and here it is:
Yes, I know, I can't use the Egyptian Symbols, but maybe one of you know something else swarsy that might be cool, and if not, maybe I'll just do Mando'a.
I'm also creating a DE-10 style blaster from an old toy revolver I've had lying around. Haven't really done anything with this, but I' have tomorrow off, so I might go and get some water-seal putty to start filling in the gaps on the chamber.
The last thing I plan to do is a short khopesh style blade:
I already ran this by some people in the weapons forums, and one guy suggested EA wire, which could be pretty cool. I'm already mocking up a pattern for it as I type, so it hopefully won't be long before I can get it going.
Like I said, I have a good majority of the armor pieces done, but not painted, gotten most of my soft parts (just need to weather them), and my bucket that I ordered from HeadShopProps just shipped today, so here's hoping I get that soon. All of this shall be expanded upon in the actual WiP thread. I'll mainly just use this one to run ideas by you guys when I'm not sure where to go and to make sure what I am planning falls into CRL's.
