I spend months thinking on build a second armor kit,to join Recon brigade.After really long time researching good ideas,i started to act.
I want a "tactical" look in my new armor,but dont think in Gala-tac and that kind of stuff,let me explain...
I love the way that TFA troopers looks more profesional than old TKs.E-11s with stocks (nice improvement helping to hit something),chest rigs (sometimes you need fast recharge something),and that kind of things.
I want to get that concept in my new armor,with less "bounty hunter-dirty western" look and more "profesional spec-ops operator" look.In fact,its "spec-ops" brigade build.

The color scheme will be olive drab,sand,cowote brown and black in plain colors.Like this :



The soft parts are at 60% of build.MK16A Sand,british RAF flightsuit (actually tailored and modified,to remove some pouches,add oters...),Bates USMC boots (laces are covered now).Flak vest will be airsoft Body Armor heavy modified.Will wear a black chest rig,same model Heavy Gunner First Order use.Gloves will be green/grey aircrew gloves.



Armor plates are cutted.CNC machined and laser engraved.5mm thickness compact PVC.Medium armor with shins.

Helmet will be a personal cast.3D printed and finished with bondo.Then,i will make silicone mold.Boba type (not 1:1,more small) with custom binocs/enhanced vision system mounted.
Bracers will be Boba ROTJ style,with map display and some recon stuff.

The main blaster are recycled non-firing airsoft AR15.Ideal base to build an A280.I use references from new A280s from Rogue 1.
More work left to be done,but looks good.

Progress!
I have my 3d printed helmet model!! More bondo and sanding and ready to mold





I made 2 grenades of MDF and PVC.Have a airsoft rigid pistol mag pouch and i modify to give it other look.This will be mounted on a leg panel.





Have done some of the comms pack panels.CNC machined in MDF and sealed with polyuretane resin.Will have acrylic displays with desings engraved by laser and backlight with ilumination secuence.Backpack box will be made of compact PVC.

Couple things vod. Firstly, everything is looking really good so far.

Now some critique, make sure you cover the EGA on those Bates along with the laces. I think I see some zippers on the flight outside of where armor tends to cover, those will need to be concealed. The knees look great but not very knee like and may need some modification.

Question time, can we see the plates mocked up on you so we can check spacing and sizing? Any plans on a backplate or are you just thinking the comm-pack?

EGA logo has been erased after 6 years of heavy use.Laces will be covered by shinguards and footplates.
All zippers removered of suit,only keep front zipper.
Knees have better look after form and inner frame made by 5mm PVC (gives more thicknes look,all plates will have it).Knees will be mounted on a "knee brace" made of duck cloth and connected to shins.
Vest arrive this week.Once i have it,i will form the plates to ensure a perfect fit over vest.Then,will upload some pics.
Blackplate are cutted (forgot upload picks of it).Standar Boba backplate,with sorter low flaps and  vent holes on neck guard

Only scope and few little details left...and paint job of course
