So whilst I start to ponder on what to do next once my kit is complete, the obvious thing for a geek like me is electronics. I have been avidly following some droid builds on YouTube and think there are some options for a kit to be made for Mando's and possibly other SW cosplayers.
The base is a Raspberry Pi which includes low power Bluetooth and can be run from a USB powerbank.
Initially I will use a Bluetooth headset for communications. I was thinking of a 3-4" screen on Gauntlet streaming data from the Pi via a Pi Zero. After that I could install another Pi Zero in the helmet to run servos and lights.
Shopping list:
Raspberry Pi 3 or 4 if it is out by the time I start on this.
10000mah powerbank outputting 5v over USB. Might need a few of these.
Raspberry Pi Zero
3-4" touch screen kit for Raspberry Pi
Servos and LEDs for armour lighting and helmet RF
(If anyone wants to help on this one with bashing out ideas and the like then feel free)
just to make it easier for you a raspberry pi zero is the same as a raspberry pi 1/2 can it can connect to a touch screen if needed, or the second and easier way is to have the raspberry pi 3 in a gauntlet with the touch screen on top like so

i know this is the raspberry pi 1 but its the same concept with the pi 3 plus they wont be releasing the 4 intill maybe next year so the 3 will be perfect for what you want to use it as. which i think is a controller for the rf stalk servo and leds in and on the suite.
the second way is to control the servos and leds would be to use arduino micro or mini boards as they are small enough to fit in a helmet and not make the helmet uncomfortable and two the ardunio boards can be programmed by a raspberry pi and using python on the pi you can have buttons which control the servo and leds plus saves battery's.
or use a phone to control the aruino boards with the servo and maybe the leds on them over the blue tooth like this

hope this helps a bit if you want any help or just want to ask more question feel free to PM me
