Thanks everyone for following and the kind words. I'm gonna attempt to cast some aluminum ears for the helmet in the next week or two.

For those that have expressed interest in possibly buying a resin helmet, EA posted this teaser the other day.

Hi guys, back again. Here are some pictures of my resin helmet. In these photos the visor had not yet been installed. I put the visor in this morning. I'm not entirely happy with my paint job. It needs more weathering, maybe some kill stripes. I dunno I may repaint it. I hate the painting process though unfortunately.

Thanks for looking I hope you enjoy the pics.

Up close shot of the ears.

Gahh!!! It's gorgeous!!! I love it and want one so badly! Love the uniqueness of the T and especially the ears!

make me jealous of those mad skills why don't you. Fine, I will allow it this time
I'm seriously a fan of that helmet! If only I can design a proper kit for it...

Thanks guys! I really appreciate the compliments. Tomorrow I'm pouring aluminum for the ears for the aluminum cast helmet. Cross your fingers for me. I hope it works.

Hi my girlfriend has some experience with casting aluminium. She suggests that if you are vacuum casting to make sure the mould is no hotter than 300 degrees Celsius and the metal no hotter than 750 degrees Celsius (so just above melting point). Hope this helps out with any future projects. Looks fantastic keep up the good work

This thing is a work of art. And I love the hollow ear caps. They'd work perfectly for my build.

And the print lines make them look milled. It's actually a really nice touch with the metallic paint.
