Olaram vode! Welcome to my Late Crusader build thread were I will be posting my WiP pics and concept art that will be used to create my armour and design.

Now I know what I need to do for my armour thanks to the fantastic app team, so here are the concept images I will be working off;

Body Armour and Melee Weapons

Pistol

Helmet

But with the helmet targeter (don't know the precise definition of what the antennae is called) of this

Jetpack module

Colour Theme (used on a modern as there is no late crusade version :P)

Exploring how I can get the parts made and the like currently (as I am in Australia and do not want to pay a fortune on shipping...although with Trump in our dollar should catch up a little ;) )

I'd recommend sketching out what you have so far as concepts to help develop your overall design.  A 6mm sintra or similar material could be built up, curved/heated to form the 3d shaping.  I'd start with some cardboard to form your ideas at first.  Post your progress here on here and we'll keep you are the right path.  I myself and working slowly through a similar build, but alas being in the US keeps shipping down and I ordered a LC Ramikadyc Armour last week.  It will be great to get some unique kits though.  :)

If you say so, I already drew this up but thought it too crappy to post (not the best sketcher haha)

No it actually helps, no we can see which component of each picture you want incorporated into your kit.  Any ideas on what you will be using to make the backpack?

Seems like a solid concept that you have there, nothing jumps out at me as off base. I would say you are ready to start building

Just found the brigades (didn't know about them till I checked out your build Karl) and I'm totally gonna turn this into a beast tamer build! Already got some ideas but I'll make a new sketch and show ya''ll

:

This is the kind of paint job I was thinking for the helmet. Don't know whether to do the bottom Jaig eyes, top or both to be different.

So I am going to give you the same boilerplate warning about the brigades that is given to all UMs.

Don't worry about the brigades worry about becoming an OM first. The brigades are designed to be another challenge you can put to yourself AFTER you have become an OM. Now with that said you can keep the brigades in the back of your mind while you work on your kit. Doing things like making sure you have a backplate and a codpiece . But the danger with the brigades is that you will get bogged down in all the extra requirements and that will greatly delay your path to becoming an OM.

So it is good to have a brigade in mind, building and becoming a brigade member is a great feeling and accomplishment. But focus your build on just becoming an OM before you worry about the fancy stuff :)

Kitty, I second this ^ ^ from Naran.  Become an OM first and then look towards a Brigade level.  This is several steps above what you are expected to have for a regular kit.  I've already become an OM, so my second kit is a new challenge with both a different era and I'm gearing it towards the beast hunter brigade.  I'll have to become official with the late crusader build before I can apply to the brigade.
